PULSE 160 heat recovery unit

Cabinet

is made of durable hardened plastic. The external subtle combined facade grille is white matt. The heat exchanger part of the unit allows for installation in a 250-500 mm thick wall. The inner part of the unit is equipped with a design front cover with damping insulation and a control damper.

Fans

The unit is fitted with a reversible axial fan with a 12 V DC motor powered by a controller and is designed for continuous operation.

Motor

Motor protection IP22, operating temperature -20 to +60 °C.

Recuperation

Regenerative heat exchanger made of ceramic material. The average thermal efficiency is up to 81.6% (maximum up to 93%). For easy maintenance and servicing, the heat exchanger is accessible by removing the inner part of the unit and the fan section.

Filters

A G3 class filter (ISO coarse 45%) is located on the outside of the ceramic heat exchanger and on the inner grille.

Regulation

The PULSE CONTROL PRO controller with integrated humidity sensor is not included as standard with the unit. The controller must be ordered separately or the PULSE 160 SET (unit + controller). Without the controller the unit is not functional. Up to 6 PULSE 160 units can be controlled with one remote control. The controller is powered from a 230/12 V power supply unit. The controller can be used to switch 4 fan speeds or to set the following operating modes:

• Eco - paired operation, where the units switch the flow direction after 50-70 seconds depending on the fan speed, recovery is ensured
• Full-blast - operation in only one flow direction, allows thorough ventilation of the room, no heat recovery is possible
• Automatic mode - fan speed is automatically adjusted by a humidity sensor, this control ensures optimum air quality in the room
• Sleep mode - the unit stops working for 1 hour to allow the occupants to fall asleep, after this time the system will resume the previously activated mode

Mounting

The unit can only be installed in the horizontal axis of the heat exchanger body with a minimum inclination of 1% to the outside of the wall. The long connection extension (500 mm), which contains the ceramic heat exchanger, fan and filters, can be adapted to the wall thickness. The unique design of the unit ensures easy maintenance and cleaning. The PULSE 160 unit is suitable for use when replacing an existing fan without the need for extensive installation preparations.

Information

The unit is suitable for new builds or renovations as a replacement for existing negative pressure ventilation fans. Due to the alternating operation and the accumulation of energy from the exhaust air in the ceramic heat exchanger body, there is no excessive heat loss caused by the supply of fresh cool air. The unit can be supplemented with elements for installation in the window lining.
