Cabinet
The cabinet is made of sheet steel, electroplated and coated with grey epoxy lacquer. The motor is housed out of the air stream in a duct across the fan housing. The motor is cooled by a fan, which is an integral part of its design.
Impeller
The impeller is cast entirely from Al alloy. The impeller is statically and dynamically balanced and has a red epoxy lacquer finish.
Motor
The motor is asynchronous, with short armature, insulation class F, with ball bearings. The motor has its own cooling fan. Protection class IP55 (4-400 and 4-600 IP44, insulation class B).
Rotation direction
The direction of rotation is determined by the arrow on the fan housing.
Fan box
The clamp is part of the motor.
Speed control
Conditions under which speed control can be used, please consult our technical department. The fan and drive system has its own cooling dependent on the engine speed. Reducing the speed may, under certain circumstances, reduce the durability of the bearings and grease packing of the moving parts of the fan. Speed control is possible without additional measures at supply air and ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
Noise
Noise emitted by the fan is given in the tables, measurements are made at a distance of 1.5 m.
Mounting
With regard to bearing life, we recommend mounting the fans in a horizontal position, with the ventilation shaft vertical to ensure motor cooling. If forced ventilation of the shaft with the motor is provided, mounting in another position is possible.
Instructions
The fans are suitable for exhausting hot gases. Please ask for information on delivery conditions and delivery times.
Notices
Alternatively, motors are supplied with a thermal fuse in the winding. In this case, the wiring diagram supplied with the fan in the documentation must be used. The thermal fuse must always be connected, otherwise the motor is entitled to warranty repair.
